This question has been in my mind for quite some time.  Silly me, the fact behind is so simple...  I would like to share the explanation with you in the link below:

My neighbour made this fancy nasi kunyit. 

It is different from my hometown nasi kunyit.  Ours is cooked from glutinous rice while this Indonesian nasi kunyit is cooked from white rice. 

It tastes really good.

I find that this soup tastes better than its look :-)

Ingredients:

• 1/2 radish - sliced
• 1 carrot - cut into small cubes
• 5 mushroom - cut into pieces
• 1L chicken stock

Procedure:

1. Boil all ingredients for 1/2 hour then add salt to taste.

Worth trying.
